We all know that how you look plays a role in how you feel. And of course you want to feel beautiful this holiday season despite the fact that your little ones are probably running you ragged! Here's a quick overview of how to stay on trend and look your best this holiday season - from head to toe!
Hair: Loose is leading the hair trend this holiday season. If you are looking to wear your hair down, think loose waves created using a large barrel curling iron. If you would rather wear hair up, go with a messy bun or loose braid. For short hair, bring in the bling! Wear a statement headband or a clip with some sparkle.
Makeup: While not exactly new, the smokey eye and bold, red lip look is back this holiday season. And cosmetic companies have made achieving this beautiful look easier than ever. Most have created eye shadows and liners specifically designed to create a smokey eye. And with the biggest selection of reds in years, you are sure to find a shade for the lightest to the darkest of skin tones. Psst... check out the web for tutorials for how to create a beautiful smokey eye.

The Dress: Everything is bolder this holiday season - and party attire is no exception. If you are dying to wear that full-on sequin number you are in luck! Everything that sparkles is hot. A close second is lace, which is everywhere! Other go-to fabrics and prints include animal print, leather and velvet. In terms of color, if you can't do another LBD, go with a LRD (little red dress) but try a mini with long sleeves. Head-to-toe white and nude are also great options to make a beautiful and impactful party statement.
Shoes: For a holiday party, heels are a must! Don't panic if you haven't worn them in a while - platform and wedge heels look fabulous and are easy to wear. Other shoes to consider include pumps with metallic tips, metallic pumps and even booties. Keep in mind, if you are wearing a statement dress, simplify your shoes and accessories. Likewise if you are wearing a simple dress, feel free to have some fun with shoes and accessories (as long as they don't clash).
Accessories: It's no surprise that with everything being bold this holiday season - so are accessories. This is the year to have fun! The large, statement ring is still in style. Layers of long necklaces are a great way to dress up a more basic dress. Keep in mind that balance is important. We all love sparkle, but don't pair a sequin dress with a sparkly handbag and a huge statement necklace. Reserve statement accessories for a simple or monochromatic dress.
